Ugly Shoes: Michael Kors lace up bootie

Michael Kors calls this a lace up bootie.  We beg to differ.  By no stretch of the imagination is this a boot.  See that strap at the front?  That’s clearly a sandal, albeit with a lace up ankle section tagged on for no apparent good reason.  And don’t even get us started on the cut out heel.  Nope, if you were to try to wear these in the same way you would wear boots, you would be sorely disappointed.  And cold.  And possibly with wet feet.

What do you think though?  Is this a boot or a sandal?  And would you wear it?  If you would, it’s $1,225 (for a sandal?  Come on Michael, don’t make us arrest you for Daylight Robbery as well) and is available here.

Price aside, I think it’s pretty. But no way a boot.

I quite like it. But I’d like it more if it was in a ‘boot’ style, rather than a sandal, complete with peep-heel and peep-toe detailing.

Love it, but I wouldn’t/couldn’t spend that kind of money on shoes!

They could be called “soots” or “blandals”, I guess. And like most modern “fashion”, the only place I can see these is in a costume werehouse.
