Ugly Prom Dress Alert: The Green-Skirted Monster

The site selling this dress suggests it could be a prom dress OR a bridesmaid’s dress.

All we can say is that if this is what the bridesmaids are wearing, we’d LOVE to see the bride…

Wow! This is the PERFECT dress for a babe in a sci-fi movie. For the real world, not so much.

I believe this garment has been inspired by Indian sari.

Well you’d have to go back a few years – this dress could easily be left over from an old Star Trek…

The comments above about it being like something a sci-fi character – really annoying. BAD 70’s SF, yeah. But there are/were some very good costume departments for shows like Chuck, the Stargate franchise, the Sarah Connor Chronicles, Merlin, Being Human, Farscape and many other SF&F shows and when something over-the-top was featured, there was usually an in-universe logic -like Halloween, immature male fantasy, etc. I would say a show like Alias or Gossip Girl is a lot more illogical – for Alias, sometimes just dressing normally will work, and Gossip Girl – do they never work out, have to do something messy or lose their luggage at the airport and have to make do until they can shop?

I think this dress would look great if it didn’t have that weird looking flower on the shoulder. I love the colour, the design is unique, and if you are tall and slim this would look great!
