Lovely print, but I’m afraid I must call BS.
From the pic, it looks like a sensible option for a grown-up, but those of us hoping for a sensible 40″ nape to hem will be sadly disappointed. A quick check on NaP just confirms it. Those aren’t long sleeves – they’re bracelet length.
Sure, it’s a day dress. For a dwarf.

Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a beautiful dress, but please, give it a couple more inches. For a shift, this is just a bit too short.
I’m no stranger to a higher hemline, but being rather tall, this loose fitting mini-shift style always shows a bit more than I bargained for. It’s hard to look classy while sitting down, standing up, crossing and uncrossing legs, reaching up, bending forward and, well, moving around generally.
Plus, my preferred mode of transport is a bicycle. Nuff said 🙂

Fashion Police Poll: Are you a fashion snob?
Fashion snob? Yes. Shamelessly.
With a few exceptions, high street stuff looks cheap, falls apart, doesn’t fit, or any combination of the above. Add that to the thought of the army of 10 y.o girls working long hours and paid pence in some far-off corner of the world, and don’t forget the indignity of the changing rooms on a Saturday afternoon.
I’d rather build a wardrobe of ethically sourced enduring classics that suit my style. Designer pieces almost always show their quality, and can be found new and used at affordable prices in outlets, flood sales and vintage stores. You don’t need to spend a fortune, just be willing to invest the extra effort for less variety. And always consider buying out-of-season 😉
