On Sunday night, the 92nd annual Academy Awards, better known as The Oscars, were held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. Every year the ceremony honors the best in the film industry and is known as “Hollywood’s biggest night.” While the awards are important, everyone also watches to see what the biggest stars in cinema are wearing on the red carpet. The stars at the 2020 Oscars really brought their A-game! Check out the best and worst looks from the 2020 Oscars:
The Best of the Best
Janelle Monae always wears something unique on the red carpet. She always pushes the envelope and looks stunning do so. This sparkling hooded gown was no exception and easily our best look of the night!
Scarlett Johansson’s hair, makeup, and entire ensemble was absolute perfection. Her gown was sexy and classic at the same time, making it one of our favorite red carpet looks.
Regina King’s pale pink gown was so statuesque and princess-like at the same time. The crystal embellishments, the surrounding train, every part of this outfit was a dream.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus kept things simple in this slinky gown and minimal jewelry. She proved that sometimes simple is the best way to go!
Penelope Cruz channeled Audrey Hepburn and the style of the 60’s in this A-line dress. It looked so absolutely chic!
The Worst of the Worst
We know Billie Eilish is the It Girl of the moment and we know this is kind of her “look,” but it’s just not Oscar appropriate. She could’ve changed things up for the occasion.
Kristen Wiig’s gown and gloves were just a total flop. We’re not sure if she was trying to be abstract or what, but we weren’t feeling it.
Being a four-time Oscar nominee at such a young age, Saoirse Ronan has a lot to be proud of. This outfit is not one of those things.
We honestly don’t even know why Blac Chyna was at the Oscars, but we do know that this outfit was not only inappropriate, but not attractive either.
Rooney Mara is a stunning woman, but this dress looks like it came straight out of a Halloween costume shop.
