On Sunday night, the 77th annual Golden Globe awards were held at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. Every year, the Golden Globes honor the best performances in both movies and television. They are often considered the most prestigious of the entertainment awards shows – besides The Academy Awards, obviously. While the ceremony itself is important, you know that what we’re all really here for is the fashion! Check out the best and worst looks from the 2020 Golden Globes below:
The Best of the Best
Kat Graham brought the sexy to the red carpet with this ravishing red gown. The cut-outs were just subtle enough to keep the dress formal for an event like the Golden Globes, but edgy enough for someone her age.
Unless you’re new here, you’re probably familiar with out love of pantsuits. We really, really, really love a woman in a well-fitted pantsuit – which is exactly what Phoebe Waller-Bridge was last night on the red carpet.
What is there to even say about Nicole Kidman? Has there ever been a “Best Dressed” list that she wasn’t on? She definitely didn’t disappoint last night with this structured red gown.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas made jaws drop with this curve-hugging gown. We also loved the bright pop of color that she added to the carpet.
Renee Zellweger looked absolutely stunning in this periwinkle gown. The simple jewelry and matching shows made the complete look one of the best of the night.
The Worst of the Worst
Jennifer Lopez obviously didn’t get the memo that Christmas was a few weeks ago. She literally looks like a present that was snatched from under the tree and we hate to say it, but she was our worst-dressed of the night.
It almost hurts to put Cate Blanchett on our “Worst Dressed” list, but this gown just wasn’t doing it for us. The silver embellishments around the chest look strange and the pleated material just isn’t flattering.
Charlize Theron pretty much looks good in everything – except this. The colors of this gown are absolutely awful and all we could think of when looking at it was The Grinch.
When Gwyneth Paltrow gets it right, she really gets it right. (Remember the pink princess gown from the Oscars so long ago?) On the flipside, when she gets it wrong, she gets it really wrong. Consider this puffy mess “getting it wrong.”
As if the Cats movie wasn’t enough of a disaster, Taylor Swift had to follow it up with this gown. This has got to be one of the worst outfits we’ve ever seen on the pop superstar and we hope that she goes back to her chic 1989-era style.
