On Sunday night, the 2019 Emmy Awards were held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The annual ceremony honors the best performances in television and that means all of the biggest stars from the small screen were in attendance. While the most important part of the night is obviously who walks home with statues, we’re just a little more concerned with what everyone was wearing! There were some truly gorgeous looks on the red carpet this year. (For the record, the carpet was actually purple this time around, but still…) Needless to say, there were also some fashion fails on the red carpet. We rounded up the best and the worst looks to share with our readers, so check them out below!
The Best of the Best
Has there ever been one single time that Zendaya hasn’t knocked it out of the park with her fashion? This emerald green ensemble completely blew us away. Not only was the Euphoria star the best dressed of the night – she’s the best dressed of most nights.
When They See Us star Niecy Nash looked absolutely gorgeous in this glittery rose gold gown and matching headwrap.
We loved this twinkling ballgown on Glow star Betty Gilpin. How can you not love a dress that reminds you of a planetarium?
Pose (and Kinky Boots!) star Billy Porter has become a fashion icon in just a few years and this silver-striped look is just one example of why people love his style so much.
From Seinfeld to Veep, Julia Louis-Dreyfus has had such a historic career, this stunning gold gown is merely the icing on the cake.
The Worst of the Worst
We loved Gwendoline Christie in her heroic role on Game of Thrones. We do not, however, love this outfit.
Kristen Bell is honestly one of the most adorable people in Hollywood – or anywhere actually. With that said, we were not feeling this multi-colored gown.
She may be a phenomenal actress, but if this dress is any proof, Amy Adams is not a perfect dresser.
Zoe Kazan, this is…a lot. Sometimes there are no words.
Don’t get us wrong: We love the fact that Sarah Silverman can make us laugh. We don’t want her clothing to make us laugh, though.
