Comment on Skin Colour is Not a Fashion Statement (And no, we won’t “get a tan…”) by maz aka MallyMon.
Like Rachel, I have lived in Qld, Oz and was shocked by the state of the skin of many older people there. It shocked me so much that I plastered on the sun protection and a sun hat every time I went out. Tanning in the sun or on a sun-bed can be fatal and is just asking for trouble but skin also eventually ends up looking either blotchy with dark brown sunspots or like wrinkly tortoise skin. False tans are okay but I’d rather not bother. People may wish to tell me I have no colour (rude!) but at least I’m still alive. I think…

Thylane Loubry Blondeau: is a 10-year-old too young to model adult fashion?
I think she looks incredibly sad. Her eyes have no life. Too much, too soon, too young. Poor child, her life isn’t going to be the same ever again.
Outfit Repeating: Fashion Crime or Absolutely Fine?
I never used to wear the same outfit in one week. And would only wear an outfit again if the whole thing had been drycleaned/washed and ironed. When I had a child, she too was subjected to the same way of life. Then I realised that clothes wore out quicker with my method and I wasted a lot of time on laundry. I still prefer to wear a top only once but trousers and skirts – they’re okay to wear again. A favourite whole outfit, yes I’d wear again and again but obviously not without washing/dry cleaning in between each wearing. To be honest, if I had pots of money (fingers crossed…), I really think I’d be tempted to only wear an outfit once unless I really loved it. This I’d prefer to do rather than having a big posh car. I would, of course, recycle wisely and well!
Graeme Armour gold frilly “ass crack” shorts
Well, some people criticise Vivienne Westwood! But with these, I laughed. And again, I do have to applaud the benefits of laughter therapy. And I also have to thank the designer for cheering me up so very much.
