I’m a huge fan of vintage clothing. There’s something exciting about rummage for really cool stuff, finding that perfect dress and getting giddy with excitement when you realise that it actually fits. Hurrah! Whilst I’m blessed with vintage shops on my doorstep in London, sometimes there’s just too much stuff to sift through. Often, I find myself nosing about online vintage shops instead. There’s less of a crowd, and there isn’t a weird musty smell which is always a bonus. Here are my favourite online vintage shops:
Love Miss Daisy: Most of the vintage stuff I love is 50s and 60s, and this is what Love Miss Daisy does so very well. The accessories are just as good as the dresses, and there’s a great collection without it being overwhelming. A 60s shift dress will cost you less than £50.
Lady Pearls: This shop offers some really interesting stuff, and they customise vintage items too. So that ugly prom dress gets a new life here. A very pretty one.
Queens of Vintage: Not a shop, but a great website for sourcing all things old. Sister site Green My Style also has a fab ‘daily eBay‘ section, which basically does the hard work for you. Life is too short to spend hours sifting through eBay listings.
Natasha Bailie: More expensive than the other vintage shops I’ve mentioned, but if you’re looking for an amazing 50s gown, this is the place to come.
Steptoes Antiques: There’s some great stuff in this online shop, but there’s just so much of it. You’d have to be a serious hardcore vintage junkie to search through everything.
Rokit: Far too cool for its own good, but Rokit has some excellent finds. Nothing fancy, think old denim and leather, with great accessories.
Got a vintage shop that you love? Tell me about it in the comments!
