On Sunday night, the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards were held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. The best performances in television and film were honored at the ceremony’s 24th annual event and that means some of the biggest stars in Hollywood were in attendance! We really loved a lot of the outfits on the red carpet (well, technically it was a blue carpet) and hated just a few. Either way, it was a great night for famous fashion! Check out the best and worst looks from the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards below:
The Best of the Best
Nicole Kidman was hands-down our favorite look of the night! This black and white gown was the perfect image of elegance and it honestly made our jaws drop when we saw her on the carpet!
Kiki Layne looked like an actual dream come to life. Her shimmering champagne gown was easily one of the most beautiful looks of the night!
Poppy Delevingne was the epitome of ethereal in this simple, flowy gown. We also love that she opted for minimal jewelry, which lets the dress shine on its own.
Regina King’s sparkling purple gown was gorgeous beyond belief! The glittering fabric was nothing short of breathtaking.
Emmy Rossum’s crimson-colored gown was truly breathtaking. We would have gone with a lighter lipstick shade, but we’re still in love with this look!
The Worst of the Worst
Lucy Boynton may have starred in our favorite film of the year, Bohemian Rhapsody, but this ruffled gown was definitely our least favorite look of the night. Her hair and makeup though? A+ in our book!
You know those really obnoxious curtains your grandmother has in her home? Yeah, Judy Greer decided to wear them as a dress.
Patricia Clarkson’s black gown looked a little gothic to us. Although, with the creepy character she played in Sharp Objects, it makes sense.
Gemma Chan is one of the biggest stars in the world right now with the success of Crazy Rich Asians, but even that can’t make up for the disaster that was this floral dress.
We usually love everything Charlize Theron wears, so this it hurts us to say that this silver, metallic gown was just dreadful.
