Designer Vs High Street: Martinez Valero’s version of Gucci’s tattoo pumps

OK, that’s it, we’re taking in Martinez Valero on suspicion of being, um, “inspired by” Gucci’s tattoo slingbacks to a really quite remarkable extent.

We say “on suspicion of”, but there’s really no question of the accused’s guilt here, is there? It’s a cut-and-dried case, which is why Valero will proceed directly to the Fashion Police jail, without either passing “Go” or collecting $200.

The shoes in question are available at Endless, where they cost $96.22. The Gucci versions, meanwhile, are no longer stocked as they’re from a couple of seasons ago, but cost significantly more than that, needless to say.

Although the Gucci are expensive, they look much better.

I agree with you! Their designs deserved the prices that they have.
