Dress of the Day: ASOS spot print fitted dress

Asos_dress_2We realise polka dots can be one of those “love ’em or hate ’em” things for some of you, but we’re firmly in the “love ’em” camp, and think they can add a cute little retro edge to dresses like this one, which is £35 from ASOS.

The fitted shape is also in its favour: the nipped in waist will help create that hourglass look, with the bow adding emphasis, and the fact that it’s a wool mix should also make it reasonably warm, although you’ll obviously want to add a cardi or shrug to cover your arms if you’re wearing it during the day.

I love the dress, and other ones you’ve shown recently, but for some reason the cold is really getting to me this winter. I’d never get away with something like that with my intolerance to the cold right now – nor can I cope with wool; I’m allergic to it. 🙁 I’m stuffed really. Today I ended up wearing a t-shirt with a MASSIVE knit jumper over the top (really baggy and unflattering), leather gloves, huge coat, scarf, the works, and I was still cold, even indoors at times. I don’t know what’s wrong with me!

Perfect antidote to that bra/street corner dress!

Winter? Oh, Mousy, where do you live? I feel bad for you if it’s that cold already and it’s only the beginning of October!

    The Fashion Police

I’m exactly the same, Mousy – and it’s definitely more “winter” than autumn here already! At this time of year I have to more or less give up all attempts at looking stylish and just layer on as much clothing as I can – I *really* feel the cold!
