Would you wear… Topshop’s tribal feathered headband?

Topshop-tribal-headband

We know big, bold headbands have been around for a while now, but we have to admit, we think we'd have trouble wearing this one from Topshop without feeling like we were in fancy dress.

We're quite possibly in the minority with this, though, because even although this Navajo beaded headband only appeared on the website a couple of days ago, and even although it costs £30, it's already completely sold out. We're guessing there'll be a lot of feathered heads on show at the festivals this summer.

What do you think, readers? Would you wear this? And if so, where would you wear it, and what would you wear it with?

I’d wear this naked. Clearly there’d already be too much going on atop my head to warrant actual clothes.
No but seriously, I can’t imagine ever wearing this ._.

I don’t think you could get away with selling this in North America… At the very least, a lot of people would think it in very bad taste.
    Plus, it’s ridiculous.

I think it’d be a pretty badass costume piece if you’re on your way to a festival or something, but it’s not something I’d see myself wearing in the street…
I’ll stick to my peacock feather earrings.

this is in bad taste. and just because there are no Native Americans living in London to offend, doesn’t mean it’s not offensive on its own. Please don’t wear this.

It may be sold out now, but how many did they ever have in stock? Maybe they just though better of it, and sold the only one?
Can only hope theres no more out there…

No matter how hard I try, I can’t even imagine wearing it…I’d laugh myself sick just looking in the mirror!

I don’t think its disrespectful, just waaay too literal. It’s okay to be inspired by traditional native american style, so long as its cool and fresh. This is neither.

I agree that it is disrespectful. The people that buy it have no idea what those colors, of feathers mean, if anything in this case. It’s butchered.
