Would you wear… ASOS’s zig-zag print maxi dress?

asos-orange-maxi-dressLordy! It’s a bit early to be thinking about Halloween ALREADY, ASOS, isn’t it?

This dress is “in the style of” Daisy Lowe, so that’s one person who would presumably wear it. We’re wondering how many more we can find, though? We’re migraine suffers ourselves, so we’re going to have to opt out of this one, we’re afraid, but what about the rest of you? We’ve actually been seeing quite a few maxi dresses appearing among the fall/winter collections, and this one certainly has an “autumnal” colour scheme to it but would you dare to wear bright orange squiggles? If you would, this is £32 from ASOS.com.

Maybe if it were Halloween in 1994….

When exactly did we go back 20 years?!?!? That dress is truly showing, maybe if it was a short number they could get away with it (though I doubt it…) but the length just makes it 10 times worse!!

Ugh. What an awful color/pattern combination.

OTOH, the shape of the dress is very nice. I like the idea of long-sleeved maxi-dresses, though the sleeveless ones never did a thing for me. If we could only get some in a fabric that isn’t a knit, I might actually buy a few of them.

If this was a mini dress (and I had the figure for mini dresses) and I was going for a crazy look, I might consider wearing it with some black boots and jewellery. However, as it is, it just makes me think of something a bag lady would wear. I will not be paying ASOS £32 for the privilege of looking like a bag lady!

On the right person (not my pale, blonde, self), this dress would be… well, striking is the only appropriate word.

I agree with Emily – the shape is nice, they just need to make it a decent colour and change the pattern.

    I like, it, personally.

Then again, all of my electronics are metallic hot pink (when I can find them), so this sort of bold color is to my tastes.

It could get to be too much quickly, though.

aside from the colour scheme – i quite like it. may be its just the way the model is standing, but it seems to have quite good shape and cut – better than the usually soggy maxi’s

Clearly, I’m outnumbered here. I like the color. The shape is great, I just don’t like long skirts. So hack it off to a suitable length (I like knee), some black boots and a teal military jacket. I’m good to go.

I do love a crazy ugly print. Though orange isn’t really my thing.

Make it black with red or blue print and I quite like this 😀
