Would you wear… A cherry headband by Piers Atkinson?

Sometimes what happens on the runway stays on the runway.

Other times, what happens on the runway filters through to retailers, and suddenly those wacky, experimental looks are actually available to buy and wear, in real life.

The Fall 2011 runways had more than their fair share of giant headgear (see Dior Couture, if you don’t believe us), and now you, too, can balance a giant object on top of your heads, thanks to these cherry headbands by Piers Atkinson, which are available to buy from Joy.com.

We think they look pretty cute on the model, in a strictly-editorial kind of way. What we want to know, though, is would you wear them? Have you secretly always wanted to wear a couple of giant cherries on your head? Do tell…

If they were smaller they could be really cute, but then you might risk looking like you stole it off a 6 year old. Maybe with the netting over the face, makes it more grown up.

That’s what I thought, if they were 50 times smaller I’d probably wear them.

Um, even if you were inspired to wear giant fruit on your head, where exactly would that be appropriate?? At your work? Dinner with the parents, or even better, the in-laws? How about taking in movie? (Excuse me, miss, I can’t see over your …ah… cherries)

To even consider such an accessory implies a life so much more interesting than mine that I cannot even imagine it.

Maybe as a cute gimmick. For instance, a private party with college friends, but even then it’s a bit much. Most likely situation: Halloween party.

Katy Perry would SO wear cherries on her head. Me? Not so much.

If I could make it work for some kind of fancy dress, YES.

Uhm, no. Nothing in my social calendar would call for wearing large plastic fruit on my head. Maybe if I were Carmen Miranda?

Do I like them? Hell, yeah! Would I wear them? Probably not, but kudos to those, who think they can pull it off!

The only time I might consider wearing this would be to some kind of fancy dress party.
As said by others, maybe if they were a lot smaller, but even then you’d have to be very careful as to what to wear them with in order not to look too childish

I’d wear it in a heartbeat if they had a red one.
