The Golden Globes kinda got in the way of our Style Challenge results this week, but fear not, for we have the results ready for your viewing pleasure now. We had a lot of entries to this contest, so we’re going to divide them up into a few sepparate posts to allow you to vote for your favourite. Thanks to everyone who took part!
Is everyone ready for the first Style Challenge of 2011?
We’ve decided to ease you in relatively gently with this one: Senso’s ‘Wilma’ boots were hugely popular in fashion blogging circles last year, so if you’re running low on inspiration, you shouldn’t have to look too far to find some. Despite their popularity, however, bright pink animal print isn’t exactly the easiest thing to wear, so we challenge you to use Polyvore to create an outfit using these boots, and post a link to it in our comments section. We’ll publish your outfits next week and let you vote for your favourite.
Ready to play? Take a look under the jump first to read the rules, and then off you go: have fun!
Ever wondered how you’d actually go about wearing all of those woodland-animal-themed headresses that have been popping up in all our favourite stores for the past few weeks now? No, to be honest, we haven’t either. We HAVE, however, wondered how all of our readers would wear them, so on Friday afternoon we set you the challenge of creating an outfit based around a pair of bunny ears. What would you do, we wondered? Would you try to tone the ears down with something stylish but simple, or would you decide that if you’re going to be wearing rabbit ears, you may as well go all out with the rest of the outfit?
The answers are under the jump (not forgetting the one at the top of the page, of course), so take a look and don’t forget to vote for your favourite outfit in the poll you’ll find at the end of the post! Did any of them inspire you to buy a pair of these?
Love them or hate them, clogs have played a huge role in fashion this season, and it looks like they’re going to be clinging on by the tips of their wooden heels well into next season, too – have you seen the fur-lined versions that are coming out for winter?
Here’s what you came up with! Thanks to everyone who took part in this challenge: remember to leave us a comment to tell us which outfit is your favourite!
If you’re anything like us, you’re probably sick to death by now of hearing about how very “on trend” clogs are right now.
We’re not going to tell you that. Instead, we’re simply going to ask you what you’d wear with clogs, if you absolutely HAD to wear them. And to make it interesting, we’re going to turn it into a Style Challenge, and ask you to submit a Polyvore set to show us your outfit.
Sound simple? The clogs in question are Jeffrey Campbell’s ‘Charli C’ clogs, which are $124 at Solestruck. You’ll find the rules of the game under the jump: we can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Last week we asked you to come to the aid of Fashion Police reader Moni, by providing some styling suggestions for a denim corset top. And here’s what you came up with!
This week’s Style Challenge is a request from Fashion Police reader Moni, who owns a top similar (although not quite the same) as the one shown above, and who wants to know how her fellow readers would style it.
Can you help Moni decide how best to wear this top? That’s your Style Challenge, should you choose to accept it! You’ll find the rules of the game under the jump – good luck, and have fun!
That was the question we posed in our Style Challenge last week, and here are your answers. The outfits submitted feature everything from pretty dresses to casual jeans, and from glamorous evening gowns to classic cowgirl style. We think the answer to the “what to wear with cowboy boots” question, then, is “whatever you want!” If you treat them just like any other pair of boots (which is, after all, what they are), you’re limited only by your imagination.
We’ve put all of your sets into one post, which means we couldn’t add a poll, so please feel free to nominate your favourite outfit in the comments section, and let its creator know you appreciated their work! Thanks to everyone who took part!
