Wear or Die: Which dress would YOU wear, assuming you had no other choice?

Urbanoutfitters

The last Urban Outfitters fashion crime we featured here came from the UK website, so just in case our international visitors are feeling left out, how about these two beauties, found at Ugly Outfitters America? Nice, aren’t they?

Now, we couldn’t quite make our minds up which of these two was the ugliest, so we thought we’d play a little game to brighten up this rainy Thursday afternoon. The rules are simple: image you HAVE to wear one of these dresses. Your life depends on it: there is no choice. Which would you choose, and why?

Ooh fun game! I’d wear the one on the right. At least it shows a bit of skin up top, and the floral design down the front is so cute. And since it’s not a solid print all over, it’s a bit slimming–at least, as slimming as a tent dress can be 😛

I agree, I would wear the one on the right. I have a relatively large chest and a smaller waist, so if I would be cover up with a dress like the one on the left, I would look like a big blob. I think the one on the right is actually quite cute in my favourite tartan pattern. I would buy it if its on sale:)

I’d have to go with the second one. I think it’s kind of cute! The floral pattern on it is over done with the sleeve but it’s workable. The dark navy blue adds a bit of fall as well.

Well, either of them could probably be worked with, but I think the one on the right would actually look pretty good if you really layered over it and just let some of the patterns peek out. Maybe same with the blue…

the one on the right… you could maybe pull it off as an homage to mary-kate’s boho look… or you could look like little house on the prairie.

The second one. Although they’re both fugly, at least the second one seems to show a little more figure. And it has a tartan print. I don’t mind tartan. I don’t have a single item of tartan in my wardrobe but I’m a minor fan of the punk/pop look – if it’s done right.

I’d go for the right one without a doubt. i don’t like either, but the right one at least has some figure, and the print is more bearable for the eye.

    Amazing Aries

The one on the left looks like it belongs @ the bottom of an old womans good-will box. The right 1 can be worked, in a way, I’d probably wear on a day that I’m sick.

well, I was going to say the one on the right, for much the same reason as everyone else gave. But if I have to wear an ugly dress, I’d rather not be wearing the same ugly dress as fifty other girls. So I’m going to pick the blue number and be alone in my dowdiness… It will look dreadful on me and I see absolutely no way to accesorize it into acceptablity, but I’ve probably worn worse things in my life. After all, I entered adulthood during the 80s, when fashion crime was rampant.

The one on the right is actually really cute. Not only would I wear that, I’d buy it. (please don’t hate me. I’m a teenager.)

I think I’ll go for the second , the first just looks….BLAH , y’know? like someone went back in time , stole the dress and then headed back to the present. compared to that , the second just looks like someone couldn’t chose between differend prints and materials.
