Wear or Die: Comme des Garcons edition

Comme-des-garcons-wod

Our investigations in the Comme des Garcons section of Yoox.com yesterday made us wonder if there was anything else there we should be taking note of.

These two sack dresses aren't in the same league as those infamous bloomers, of course, but they did make us wonder: if we had to wear one of them – or die – which one would we choose?

That's the question facing you now, readers: would you rather be the madwoman in the attic or an extra from Little House on the Prairie? You decide! It's either that … or death!

Though I like Great expectations I have to go with B. It has a bit more shape, and the sleeves are much better.

I’ll be the mad woman in the attic. At least if I look insane people might excuse my fashion choices!

Obviously I’d want to be the madwoman in the attic.

I look better in blue so will have to go with the one on the right. No other reason to do so.
Except that I could eat an entire large spinach and chicken pizza for lunch and still be able to fit into the “dress”…

Option A, the other one looks like it’s made of denim, and I keep imagining some teen in pigtails and floral head piece prancing around.
I’d wear A with nice waist belt, maybe boots, and some long necklace(s) to draw the attention away from the awful collar.
And, eventually, i’d threaten to kill anyone who mentions the dress.

Perhaps worryingly, I like the Little House on the Prairie look. I would be quite happy to wear option B – should I be embarrassed?
I’d probably put on a waist belt, though.

    I’d wear the blue one…as a nightgown!

    Option B for me.
At least the blue one looks like a real, albeit outdated, dress (that makes you look pregnant, but well…) compared to that white piece of tablecloth.

B, at least it has some color to it.

B, definitely. I actually like it – with a waist belt it would be even better! 🙂

i’d go with a which surprises me as i hate white…but it’d be fun to skulk around at night with a veil on my head and shreik at people…some would think i was a jilted bride…some might think i was a ghost….some might just think i forgot my pills that day…good times 🙂

Definitely option B… Sue me but I actually think its kind of cute. If it were more knee length I might actually wear it IRL.

B! I love the B. I don’t think it’s really Little House on the Prairie, the silhouette is post French Revolution.

My husband picked A, but I prefer B. less fussy and I can just pretend I’m pregnant.

I would totally wear both! A looks like it’d feel gorgeous on the skin, and could look very sweet and angelic. B is cute; I like the colour. Although I kind of fall into the “cute tiny Asian girl” category, so I’m imagining both as going for the doll-like look.

I totally think A works as a dress… I wonder how it would look on someone with hips for it to drape off rather than as a sack.

I actually like Option B. Move the hem up to just above the knee and it’s perfect.

    A!
pair it with a long back wig over your face, and you’ve got a good “the ring/ringu” costume!

I pick the blue one, even though I don’t really think either are that bad. The white one isn’t very flattering, though.

Is it wrong that I actually really like both of them? I’d quite happily wear either…
