Versace for H&M Cruise collection: what do you think?

Versace for H&M Cruise collection

The first Versace for H&M collection has only just dropped, but it’s already time to start thinking about the next one. And actually, you might want to start queuing for the next one too, if you really want some of it: these pieces will go on sale in H&M on January 19th, and on eBay for twice the price shortly afterwards…

What do you think of this collection? We LOVE the little baby doll nightie (at least, we’re assuming it’s a nightie: you never really know with Versace, do you?), but the rest is giving us uncomfortable flashbacks to the 90s, and as much as we loved Cher’s look in Clueless, we’re probably not going to be lining up to emulate it. (We mean that literally, y the way: The Fashion Police don’t queue.)

Take a look, and tell us what you think!

I’m not crazy about the prints. They look like I should be 10 years younger to be able to wear them (… and I’m only 25 now…). I don’t queue either, but even if I did, I think I’d pass.

Yeah, the prints aren’t very nice, I like the blue dress but there’s nothing special about it, it’s just nice.

I especially hate the colour scheme. I thought the first collection was bad, but this one is definitely worse!

I like the light blue and pink dresses, but the prints are meh.

Like the colors, the prints not so much. If that’s a nightie, it’s okay but I’m pretty sure it’s actually a Versace nun costume or something!

i think Versace could do much better than this. muted colour palettes for spring is so blasé. at least the cuts are cute on the dresses, but what else are we going to expect from a classic design house. much much too easy, and i expected more daring pieces!

I like the cuts (although I could do without that additional strap on the blue dress), but that print pattern is hidious. It looks like kitchen curtains from the 50s!
I already dread seeing people combining the shorts, the blouse, and the cardigan in one outfit…

Cute for high school girls. Jailbait uniforms.

Not terrible bad, but…not very pretty either.
I like that print cause of love girly and cute, but I don’t see it working for many women. And the other stuff looks kinda like gym clothes.

I loved the first collection because it was totally ‘Versace’, very loud yet creative and stylishly colourful. The new collection seems too fruity or should I say rather cheesy (female collection) and the men’s collection looks quite dull and unexciting. That’s my personal opinion
