Quite possibly the ugliest item of clothing ever made.

In the interests of fairness, we should probably point out that this attrocity is actually supposed to be dancewear. But even so….

Dancewear for what sort of dance? I can’t think of any style of dance that would need me to dress like a sparkly Afghan hound.

cristina, you make a very good point. I was also wondering how on earth you’d actually DANCE with all that fabric billowing around you? And think of the fire risk!
Orla – You know, I don’t think the phrase, “Oh my giddy aunt” is used nearly enough these days 🙂

Did you ever see the dance film “Strictly Ballroom”? One of the men wears something similar to dance the Rhumba…only, it was just the top, the pants weren’t as billowy. Also, I think the model is significantly too small for the garment. Still, it’s hilarious. I’d love to see someone put this on and shake their booty, LOL.

Please tell me by “dancewear” you mean “after midnight costume for drunkards at Carnival”…
Honestly. Even Liberace wouldn’t wear it, and that says it all.

Isn’t it funny how the maker of this “fine” costume couldn’t even find a model to wear it? Or even a good mannequin?

In this year’s production of Taming of the Shrew at Stratford, a girl is wearing something identical to this in black; however, it’s covered by a bear suit and acting as a much cooler fat suit to plump her up.
