The $63,000 jacket: by Balmain, of course – who else?

This Balmain crocodile tail leather jacket costs $63,000.

For that much, we’d want to be able to LIVE in it. You?

OMFG! I really, really can’t imagine I would ever pay that much for a piece of clothing, no matter how much money I had. Whoever designed it, and whatever it’s made from, there’s just no excuse for that price. That said, I like it, except for the weird tail part.

I really like the jacket, but $63,000??? I think I just died a little.

The jacket is really interesting but there is no way in hell i would ever pay 63000$, 6300$ or even 630$ for it. Too many zeros…

Oh, no! I think it would make you look like those bad guy mutants from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Proof, if it were needed, that some people have more money than sense.

Hahaha, yes I see the resemblance! Mind you, I can see this being worn by any camp film or pantomime villain; just not in real life.

Wow, that’s a really cool jacket, but it looks more like a movie costume than anything you’d be able to wear in real life. And the price is ridiculous.
By the way: Did you notice what they combined it with? Obviously all you can afford after you bought that jacket is an old tank top and a torn pair of shorts. Who’d have thought?

Coat is just a rehash of the military jackets every tom dick and emo was wearing two years ago and although the price tag is disgusting, even more so is the material. seriously…..crocodile skin? anyone who would wear that or fur should be skinned themselves.

Agreed, the jacket is bad. It should never have been made. That being said, I disagree with the sentiment that wearers of fur or leather should be deprived of their own epidermis. I am of the opinion that animals are fair game for consumption, and all parts should be thriftily used. Alligator meat is a local delicacy, so I suppose crocodile could likewise be eaten.

I like the sci fi aspect of the look but it isn’t worth that money.

Who wants to bet how soon Rhianna will be wearing this?

Maybe it’s just the lighting, but considering the material (crocodile skin? gross) and price, it looks really cheap. And normally I like the look of Balmain jackets.

For some reason the material and the tail makes my skin crawl. The price makes me want to faint.

As crazy as that jacket is, I’m actually distracted by those ridiculous shorts, which appear to made of shredded spandex.

And you gotta be kidding me with that price! Damn! The jacket’s not even that nice. It looks like it came out of a bad sci-fi flick.

Maybe the crocodiles that were fabricated into this would be rolling in their graves if they knew what the designers turned their skin into.
Really though, a PVC version would have been great and affordable for the goth market.

that jacket looks like something mel gibson in mad max would wear.
ignoring the price, the jacket is ugly. those poor dead crocs probably with they could have ended up as hermes bags.

I’d buy it if it allowed me to fly. I think that this is a costume designed for a high budget film.
