Cheryl Cole took an important step on the route to Beckha-esque fashion dominance (she hopes) today, with the launch of her debut shoe collection for member’s only website, Stylist Pick. (Which, for those of you who’ve never heard of it, is based on the same kind of model as Kim Kardashian’s ShoeDazzle, with members signing up to a monthly subscription and then choosing a pair of shoes each month.)
You can see the shoes from this range below, and naturally, we’re keen to know what you think of them. There are strappy, Miu Miu-style sandals, flat biker boots and platform pumps – we even see what looks suspiciously like a pair of boots-pretending-to-be-shoes – but would you buy any of them? Take a look and see…
So, “Cheryl Cole wears Victoria Beckham” has to be one of the strangest headlines we’ve ever typed, huh? Imagine if it was literally true, and Chezza was ACTUALLY wearing Vicky B on the red carpet! Now THAT would be a look worth talking about!
Is this one, though? Well, Cheryl isn’t wearing Mrs Beckham herself, but she is wearing a long pink dress from the Victoria Beckham Spring 2011 collection. Fashion People are all excited about this, because Cheryl Cole has a somewhat “hot and cold” relationship with Victoria Beckham and her dresses, and having initially dismissed the designs as “too old”, she’s now been gushing to Grazia about how much she loves them, and how she wants to follow in Victoria’s perfectly-shod footsteps by becoming a fashion designer.
This is, of course, coming hot on the high heels of Cheryl’s shoe collection for Stylist Pick, and is actually a little surprising to us, because as much as we love Cheryl (and we’ll admit to having a bit of a soft spot for her), we’ve never particularly thought fashion was her “thing”, in the way it is Victoria Beckham’s, say. Say what you like about VB (we know you will!), but she has always had a distinctive style, and come across as being fairly fashion-obsessed, which isn’t something we’ve ever really thought about Cheryl.
Should Victoria be worried, do you think? Will we soon all be gushing over the Cheryl Cole Fall 2012 collection?
She’s had two recent brushes with the (Fashion Police) law this week, so here’s a quick look at Cheryl Cole getting it right: or more so than she has been, anyway.
This bright orange mini dress is by Giambattista Valli, and is a much better attempt at colourful dressing than Cheryl’s colourblock ensemble. The look owes a lot to the simplicity of the dress, which allows the colour to be the stand-out point, and Cheryl looks comfortable and relaxed in it, which is always a good thing.
There are lots of things we could say about the white dress Cheryl Cole wore on the red carpet at Cannes last night. The beautiful cut, the perfect fit, the, er, fruit attached to teh waistband.
Unfortunately, though, we can’t say any of those things, because our officers were much too busy making sure Cheryl’s breasts stayed under control, and within the confines of the dress, at all time.
Cheryl Cole is currently in LA to start her new job on the X Factor US judging panel, and as you can see, things haven’t exactly got off to a great start for poor Cheryl, who had her feet snatched at the first round off auditions: ouch!
Cheryl was also attacked by the ongoing colour-blocking trend. It was obviously an, er, hair-raising experience for her. (Sorry.)
As regular readers will known, The Foot Snatcher is one of The Fashion Police’s arch enemies. We’ve been after this dastadly villain for a while now, although lately our detective work has been greatly hampered as we believe the Foot Snatcher is being harboured by the fashion community, and even by some of our own readers, who believe him to be innocent of all charges.
The Foot Snatcher divides opinions: what’s yours? (And what do you think of the rest of Cheryl Cole’s look here?)
Here in the UK, the X Factor auditions have started, which is good news for The Fashion Police, because it means our officers get to spy on Cheryl Cole’s wardrobe changes for the next few weeks. Here she is arriving at the London auditions wearing a bright orange mini dress by Versus, and a pair of Christian Louboutin’s Bikini 140 pony pumps.
We tend to think Cheryl has the power to look good in just about anything, but what do you think of this outfit?
It’s nice to Cheryl Cole smiling after the horrible few weeks she’s had, isn’t it?
Cheryl was snapped leaving her hotel in Paris this week wearing peep toe boots and a lace-insert mini dress. Neither of these items would be something we’d reach for if we saw them in a store, but we actually think the look suits Cheryl, and she carries it off pretty well. What do you think?
We showed you Danni Minogue’s National TV Awards outfit earlier today, so now here’s her X Factor co-star, Cheryl Cole, in a dress that’s a little more sophisticated than the kind of thing she usually goes for. This dress is by Stéphane Rolland, and what we at first thought was a large amount of silver bracelets on each of Cheryl’s wrists actually turns out to be cuffs in the same fabric as the dress itself.
We tend to think Cheryl Cole would look good in pretty much anything, but what do you think of this outfit?
