Style Trial: Jeffrey Campbell ‘Upend’ pumps

Jeffrey Campbell 'Upend'

Oh, Jeffrey Campbell, there’s no need to tiptoe around the issue (boom boom!): this is a true crime of fashion!

And also really quite creative and clever, we have to admit. Which makes us wonder if it really IS a crime of fashion after all. Imagine, for instance, how¬†surreal¬†it would be to see people walking around looking like they were on tiptoe all the time? Honestly, as much as we like to consider ol’ JC the head honcho of the fashion criminal fraternity (we still haven’t forgiven him for unleashing the Lita pumps on the world), we have to give him some credit here for making that scenario possible.

What do you think of these? Innocent or guilty?

Guilty! These would be ugly even without the invisible extra heel. With it they are creepy and ugly.

Although I would never buy or wear these, I think they are quite amusing in a positive way. But Lita shoes should go away!

Simone Rocha did the invisible heel thing over a year ago, and hers were actually nice!

Oh wow the extra heel is pointless, it’s just there to make you uncomfortable. Also, it makes you look like your walking on tippy toes.
