Style on trial: Karen Millen animal print t-shirts

The jury is truly out on the subject of these t-shirts. On the one hand, styled well, maybe with a blazer and some great accessories, they could look kinda funky. Yet, we still feel that particular look would work better with a classic, clean white tee. And something about these particular prints screams market chic at us – they certainly wouldn’t be out of place on the set of Brit soap Eastenders, perhaps peeking out from under a pink velour hoody…

What do you think? Could this t-shirt work for you? How would you style it?

Both the zebra print and leopard print t-shirt are available from Karen Millen for £49.95 each.

I like this a lot better than regular animal print which makes it seem like you have skinned an animal and are now wearing it or that you are actually trying to look like an animal… These on the other hand look like they wouldn’t have that effect and are thus more wearable for some people (like me).

I’d style it with a side pony tail and some acid wash jeans…I had these Ts in the 80s. :-p

I like them! I mean, maybe it’s because I’m 19 and could get away with wearing one with jeans to class, but I think they’re really adorable. If they weren’t so expensive, I would totally be ordering one.

I think I’d just pair it with a nice pair of dark wash jeans, a funky-ish belt, and black or gray heels. Maybe some chunky jewelry, but nothing too fancy.
I like them, but I don’t think I’d pay more than $20 for them.

I think this could definitely work; I would buy them (well, maybe not for that price, but you know what I mean). If styled properly, they could be quite chic.

Laugh all you want. On two *different* tv shows last night, characters were sporting side ponytails. Ick.

Totally agree with maya. Since i am a teen i could, NO DOUBT, get away with wearing this to class. I could even start a trend. i think with these shirts just keep it white and black… THAT’S IT! black or white skinny jeans and black and white acessories. just make sure to even it out not more black than white and vice versa and this could be really trendy… REALLY CUTE!!!!!! love it.
