Style on Trial: Finsk wooden wedge ankle boots

Finsk wooden wedge ankle bootWhen we first saw these boots we were worried that we were looking at that strange phenomenon that is the ‘peep heel’ (like a peep toe, but on the heel).  We were relieved to find that we were mistaken and it was just the shape of the wedge giving that illusion.  However, we were not sure about whether we wanted that illusion on our feet.  Whilst we have nothing against the boot part of the erm, boot, we’re just not sure whether that wedge is too much?

So we’re putting it on trial and the choice is yours: save the wedge or put it in Fashion Police jail?  Tell us in the comments.  And if you want to buy these shoes, they are £445 at ASOS.

Take off the wedge; it’s a bit too much for me.

Ugly, bulky, without proper heel support, they should be banned!

I think wedges are getting out of hand. These things are staring to look like women have horse hooves.
