Style on Trial: ASOS Jacquard Dress With Faux Fur collar

ASOS white dress with fur collar

We’re not going to lie to you: we kinda love this. Yes, even although it’s just a tad ridiculous, and wearing it at this time of year would make you look a bit like one of Santa’s little helpers. (Mind you, wearing it at any OTHER time of year would make you look like one of Santa’s little helpers who got lost, so if ever there was a time to wear a dress like this, now would be that time.) Imagine it in red, if you don’t know what we’re talking about here.

What do you think? Cute or costumey? Crime or Damn Fine?

    I. LOVE. THIS. I saw the picture and thought right away “I thought she only puts ugly stuff on style on trial, what’s up?”, haha. So i’m kinda glad you like it, too 😉 Ok, so back off everyone, *I* will be wearing this come Christmas!

I like it but it’s completely unwearable.

IF I had someone else to do my laundry and I wasn’t too cheap to dry clean, I’d wear this in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, I don’t, I am, and let’s face it, that white dress is just BEGGING for spaghetti sauce to be spilled down the front of it.

It bothers me more that they chose such a young-looking model to wear the dress :/ her teeth make her look like a kid

Yeah, I’m not usually a fan of fur on clothing (not because I object to it, but because I don’t find it visually appealing) but I have to say this dress is pretty cute.

    I reeeeeeaaaaaally like it.
It’s probably not something I’d wear, given that it’s pale and I seem to spend most of my time wallowing in spillages, but I love the shape, and this is probably the first time I’ve liked fur on something.

If she isn’t one of Santa’s little helpers, she’s certainly still young enough to believe him in.

The neckline looks as though it is on backwards, and the boob are is out of shape. That plus red wine drinking make me back off from this. Not cute. And how itchy would that collar be?

I think it’s cute, but might look better if the neckline was a bit more of a boatneck instead of a round neck. As long as you don’t put too many glittery accessories with it, you should be fine.

what’s costumey about this? it’s an incredibly formal, prim dress. it’s very safely and completely boring except for the fur collar. i sometimes think the editors’ taste in fashion is too bland and conservative.
