It’s hard work being a celebrity. Honestly, some days you have to wear, not one, but TWO fancy-schmancy dresses one after the other. Which we guess is at least better than wearing them both at the same time, which sounds like something Chloe Sevigny would do. Anyway…
Here’s poor Jessica Biel, forced to wear Valentino (left) to the premiere of New Year’s Eve, and then make a quick change into a white Victoria Beckham number to promote the movie on Letterman. Which look did you prefer, though, that is the question? Amber Heard and Eva Green looked almost like they’d come as the stereotypical Good Guy/Girl and Bad Guy a the London premiere of The Rum Diary last night. Blonde girl in white, brunette in black? Yeah, they’re definitely gearing up for a fight of some kind. Or perhaps even… a WAR? A Star Style War, maybe? Oh, go on then, you’ve twisted our arms…
Who was the good girl and who was the bad girl at the premiere, folks? Who’s the winner of this Star Style War?
We’ve talked a lot recently about the colourblocking trend which has such a firm grip on the world of fashion at the moment that it shows no sign of giving up, so here are two examples of it in action, both from the 2011 ‘Do Something’ Awards, held last week in California. What we want to know is who you think colourblocked the best?
On the left, we have Tyra Banks. Tyra, of course, needs no introduction, although her pink, green and blue outfit may need a pair of sunglasses to allow you to look at it.
On the right, meanwhile, is actress Kelli Goss, whose IMDB page is here, for the benefit of those of you who’re scratching your heads and saying, “Kelli WHO?” Kelli went for the two-tone colourblock, which is a little-less in-your-face than Tyra’s three-way, and combines blue and yellow with a pair of hooves, we mean boots, which we personally want to rip off her feet and consign to the depths of the Fashion Police jail, because every time someone wears a pair of workboots on the red carpet, with a dress, an angel dies, true story.
Who colourblocked best? Which outfit do you prefer and why? Or, in other words, who is the winner of the Star Style War?
Tina Fey and Sheryl Crow found themselves in a Same Dress Situation last night, when they both turned up to the Matrix Awards wearing very similar floral dresses. Although these dresses are both by Dolce & Gabbana, they’re not actually identical: the patterns are subtly different, and while Tina’s dress has a v-neck, Sheryl’s has a higher cut.
With that said, we don’t think there’s much to choose between the two, and both women look fantastic here. Who’s your winner in the Star Style War?
We haven’t had a good old fashioned Star Style War for a while around here, so when we spotted Carmen Electra (left) and Taylor Swift (right) wearing the same dress, albeit not at the same time, we couldn’t resist putting them in the ring and letting them duke it out. In a style sense, we mean.
The different climates our stars have had to contend with here may well skew the voting slightly: Carmen Electra is pictured attending New York Fashion Week, while Taylor Swift is in the balmier temperatures of California. Taylor also looks like the hem of her dress has been taken up: or perhaps Carmen’s has been let down, who knows?

We normally can’t resist starting a Style War when we see two celebrities dressed identically, but our tongues are firmly in our cheeks with this one, because Miley Cyrus and Kim attrall are pictured here during filming of the next Sex & the City movie, in which Miley apparently plays herself. In this scene, she and Kim’s character, Samantha, turn up at the same event in the same outfit – the horror!
Even although it’s not for real, we’re going to ask anyway: who Wins the Style War? Fifty-three year old Kim or 16-year-old Miley? We actually don’t think the answer’s as obvious as it would appear on paper….
It's been a while since we last watched two celebrities slug it out in a round of Star Style Wars, so today we've put Angelina Jolie and Diane Kruger into the ring in a bid to find out who was the best dressed at the Inglorious Basterds L.A. premiere this week.
Both women wore black to the event, but they went for very different styles, with Angelina in black leather Michael Kors number, while Diane chose Atelier Versace, and lots and lots of texture.

This picture is actually a couple of weeks old, but we haven't had a Star Style War for a while, and this is one we're particularly interested in the outcome of, because of the two of them, one appears to have forgotten her pants and the other… is wearing a play suit.
