Shop the Sales: Miss Selfridge

Miss Selfridge Pink Green and Yellow Tops

Oh how I love the mid-season sales… A chance to stock up on cheapo summer tops and dresses which you can hide away so that when the warm weather rolls around again, bingo! You’ll rediscover them and feel like you’ve been shopping all over again! Or is that just me? Anyway, these three little tops from Miss Selfridge are all great for simmer, needless to say, but they’ll all look good with jeans and a cardi too, if you want to get some wear out of them in the cooler weather. From right to left, the pink silk and lace cami is £12, while the pea pod/cream zig zag top and lurex stripe bow cami are £10 each. Dresses and outerwear are  below the cut…

Patterned Dresses

Remember those black and white print dresses that are all the rage (well, at least according to LiLo and Paris)? This one is only £20, and Miss S also have it in a lovely pale lemon which just might have to be purchased for my honeymoon wardrobe…As for the £15 Lilypad halter dress (Where do they get these names?), OK, you’re not going to wear it on its own this season, but try it over jeans, and sling on a shrug to keep your arms warm, and it just might work. The emerald scoop shift dress, meanwhile, is £17 and will work as a dress or as a top.

Bright Yellow coats

Ah, yellow. How much I love it, and how sad I’m going to be when next year comes and it just looks totally “2006”. Still for £30 this mustard yellow coat is a good “one season only” buy. I’m going to say exactly the same thing about the swing coat next to it, with its fab retro shape. I’m pretty sure one of these babies is coming home to Amber soon – I just don’t know which one it’s going to be. (HELP ME!) And finally, the little grey jacket. What can I say other than that I love it so much I could eat it. A £25 bargain.
