Puma’s ‘Sabadella Sequin’ Slip-On: love or hate ’em?

Sequined_pumas

Party shoe, meet sneaker. Jaw, meet floor.

We jest, of course: Puma’s sequined ‘Sabadella’ shoes aren’t exactly jaw-dropping, but we have to admit, we’d be hard-pressed to think of a single occassion when we’ve found ourselves in need of a sequined shoe that is also suitable for sports. Then again, maybe we’re just going to the wrong parties, who knows, and hey, if you absolutely must wear sneakers, we guess covering part of them with sneakers could be a good idea. We guess.

What do you think, readers? Would you buy these? Where would you wear them?

I would not buy these, and I don’t know if I would wear them even if they were given to me. I am a huge fan of sequins, and usually feel they can safely be applied nearly anywhere. But these shoes make me question that opinion. Maybe it’s the drab gray color? Or the serviceable mesh? I don’t know.
    Just don’t like ’em.

Well, I like sequins in general, but with or without them, I would never ever wear shoes like these.

The mesh is horrid. It looks like the shoe is unfinished and was MEANT to have sequins all over it!

I have this shoe in red patent leather, and I wore it this summer with skirts as a casual flat for running around town. It’s certainly not dressy enough for work, but it was good for hot weather and never gave me blisters. I’m not a fan of the sequined version, however.

No, I would not sport this poorly realized vision. They look like 2 incomplete thoughts that got into a head on collision.
    The resulting carnage is not.pretty.

these are perfect shoes to wear on holiday for walking about all day long and still look cute and dressed up…regular sneakers just look hill-billyish in this situation…also perfect for an outdoorsy day out like a picnic…i think they are cute:)

I own this shoe. It’s comfortable and I’ve gotten at least 10 compliments on it so far. I love them, but whatever floats your boat.

I don’t like these particular dress shoe to sneaker combo, but I do have several in this vein that I wear now.
I’ve been working as a photographer for high school yearbook, sports, and dance portraits. Which requires that I both dress professionally and move and set up heavy lighting equipment. Enter the dressy sneaker. And now that I think about it those would be great for working dances.

i can’t stand sneakers, they look bulky, ugly and whenever i see people wear them with skirts or cute outfits i just want to cringe. but when i saw these at the store i fell in love. they are girly and cute, you can dress them down or up, and the sequins are adorable.

I also have these shoes both in black and grey and I love them so much that I am trying to find them again just so I have backup pairs…I get so many compliments and I am stopped all the time to ask where I got them…Whats so great is that you can dress them up or down…I go to alot of trade shows that involve alot of walking so I can dress up and have a great pair of walking shoes…you gotta love them if you try them..

I have them in black with red sequins! Really DIFFERENT, and that’s the point….they’re not ordinary, a bit whimsical without giving up comfort.

I don’t like the silver ones but I tried on a pair in solid black today and loved them- the sequins aren’t as obnoxious on the black. I am on my feet all day teaching so these will be perfect- my regular flats are starting to take a toll on my knees.

i actually have these. i have had them for over a year. they r quite comfy and i get a ton of compliments. i wear them as my “mom on the go” shoes. i have worn them mostly with jeans and to go the gym before i do yoga. i have worn them with cute tops and even t shirts. i feel like they give me an extra umph when everything else i have on is toned down. i looove them
