Opening Ceremony’s take on the “skort” (Skirt/short)

Ladies and gentlemen, Opening Ceremony proudly present… YOUR CROTCH!

Is it just us, or does this garment look less like a pair of skirted shorts (or “skort”, if you will) and more like curtains pulling back to reveal the star of the show, which, in this case is… well, like we said, it’s your crotch, isn’t it? No, you don’t see it? OK, well, what do you think of these shorts in general? Something you would wear? Head over to Shopbop, then, hand over $288 and they’re yours.

I wish they covered more…well all over. If it covered the crotch area and was longer I’d want a pair but at the moment they’re a pair of skanky shorts with two needless pieces of fabric on them which I guess are supposed to make them more modest but fails miserably.

i have a theory about what the designer might have been thinking on this one: college cheerleaders getting ready for bed… (conceived after staying up all night to watch a marathon of old porn videos from the 50’s).

$288?? For shorts?? I cannot image what shorts would have to look like and be made from to be worth that much money. These aren’t them, that’s for sure.
