Oh, rats! Melissa Numa + Love Fox sandals, complete with “rat accents”

Plastic rats. On plastic shoes. Is it a marriage made in heaven, do you think, or is it more of a marriage made in the deepest, darkest depths of the Fashion Police jail?

We’re going to go with the latter option. Sorry, ratties – we have nothing against you in real life, but when you’re made of plastic and you’re clinging onto our equally-plastic shoes, we’re probably going to find you pretty easy to resist.

What about you, readers? Want to spend $100 on these? You can do it here.

i think they are a bit cute (in an odd, novelty way) but would a million times over rather have a pair of marc jacobs’ mouse flats!

I hate all things creepy crawly and in my list that goes for rats and mice too! If I ever ended up wearing these I might forget the rat is plastic and end up beating my feet to a pulp or screaming myself into a frenzy.

That really made me laugh! I did the same with some ‘spider’ shoes – serves me right for trying to be edgey…

SO many other animals, shapes and symbols… and they choose a rat?! Don’t get me wrong, I think the domestic ones are adorable… but not on shoes.

The idea is cute. But 100$ for plastic? Hell no.

I live in NY and ugly shoes are sometimes the norm. Seeing rats in the subway is also the norm. Seeing a mouse on an ugly shoe in the subway is not the norm. There will be screaming.

    They’re cute, but I wouldn’t pay $100 for them.

The rat is cute, though I think it would look better on court shoes.

I think they’re rather adorable, and I would totally wear them. And their being plastic is only a plus for me- it means they’re vegetarian friendly!

I don’t have a problem with the rats at all; I have a problem with the fact that they’re plastic, have a weird looking toe-hole thingy, and look like something you’d buy from Walmart for a toddler. 😛
I agree with Charles; those are animal shoes done right XD
