Nicole Kidman wears see-through dress to the ARIA awards

It’s a first fashion-offense for the usually impeccably dressed Nicole Kidman, but, unfortunately for Nic, it was a pretty big one…

Nicole turned up at the ARIA Awards this week with husband Keith Urban, in an almost totally see-through dress. (Nicole that is, not Keith. If Keith Urban had been in a see-through dress, this would be a whole different post altogether…). No wonder she threw the coat on after her little "meet and greet" session with the crowd – I’ve had nightmares about going out in public in something as revealing as this. I bet Britney would like it, though.

This appears to be an OOPS, though. Brit would’ve flaunted it. Sometimes dresses SEEM opaque when you put them on, but up against a camera flash, not so much. Either way, yipes.

Let’s be perfectly clear Nicole never wears anything without a purpose to say that she didn’t realize how transparent this dress could be is the only faux pas Nicole wants to stand out especially when she is in the company of so many younger and naturally pretty women who don’t have to try as hard Nicole does! Don’t forget Nicole has two movies comming out in the next two months why else would she have even accompanied her husband on the red carpet now she never has in the past.

Who knows if it was on purpose or not. Black dresses (and some others) can be atrociously difficult to protect from transparency. It’s not like the celebs always get the dress months before the date so they can subject the clothes to numerous scientific tests. Sometimes you get the borrowed garment on the day of the event. I have a dress that I added a very opaque-seeming lining to for extra protection and after I saw a picture taken at the party I realize now I need a slip as well!
