Next neutral suede perforated wrap flats: pointless footwear?

The curse of the peep toe boots strikes again, this time at Next.   What can we say about these except Crime.Of.Fashion.  We do not understand the reason why these boots should be in existence.  For days when it’s cool enough to need your feet covered but warm enough to need the ventilation of the perforations and the peep toe?  Days when it’s warm enough for sandals on your feet but cool enough to need boots on your legs? And don’t get us started on the cankles that the wide strap and all that fabric creates.

Would you wear these boots though?  If you would, please let us know what weather conditions would be required to make them work, as we can’t work it out.   You can buy them here for £35.

I am very disappointed with Next, I’ve been liking a lot there recently but these are disgusting.

    It’s ugly and unpratical… What’s the point?

There are a lot of these for sale recently. I found this particularly ugly one just yesterday: http://www.reno.de/damen/sandalen/sandalette_schwarz/schwarz/13130-1.html
What they’re here for? I just don’t know. If it’s warm enough for sandals/flip flops I surely would not want my ankles covered. And if it’s so cold I want boots, I will certainly not want to have my naked toes peeping out.
If this style looked good at least, then I wouldn’t mind so much (You know, we women wear a lot of impractical but pretty stuff…), but it’s just ridiculous…

    These are made for summer.

    THINK OF THE TAN LINES.

I think these are possibly the worst example yet: even the pattern of the perforations is ugly!

btw, I’ve seen people wearing Moni’s example in real life – always a worrying sign…

Well, you could wear them on a coolish day if you were getting a pedicure and didn’t want to ruin your nail polish. Just sayin’.
