Moschino makes McDonald’s-themed clothing, charges small fortune for it

Do not adjust your sets, Fashion Police officers: this is not an early April Fool’s prank, it’s just what happens when Jeremy Scott takes over at Moschino:

Moschono Fast Food collection

Moschino ‘Fast Food’ collection, available at Louisa Via Roma

Fast food/fast fashion. Geddit? It’s just SO IRONIC. Especially given that you’d be dressed like a McDonald’s employee* or, well, a bag of food, but – and here’s the kicker – your outfit would’ve cost you ALMOST £500. So funny. So ironic. So absolutely mind-bending to think that people will actually pay this much money in order to wear this stuff.

The question has to be asked, however:

D’you want fries with that?

Because if you do, Moschino can help with that, too:

Moschino Fast Food Accessories

We’re particularly blown away by the £437 orange nylon backpack, which looks like the kind of thing that would be given away free at some kind of corporate “roadshow”. Seriously, we’ve just used the words “orange nylon backpack” to describe a £400 designer bag: that just seems so very wrong, don’t you think?

What DO you think of this collection? If you’re one of the many people singing its praises right now, you’ll be pleased to know the items are all available for pre-order now, with delivery mid-March – yes, even although these items have JUST tripped down the runway. (So, not exactly the FASTEST of fast fashion, but you won’t have to wait until next season for it…). If you hate it, meanwhile, drop us a comment and let us know: we have officers standing by, just waiting for your orders…

* Don’t worry, we know McDonald’s employees don’t dress like this. Actually, the Chief of Police briefly worked in McDonalds, many years ago. She REALLY wishes she hadn’t given her uniform back now: it would’ve been SO EDGY!

Thanks so much for this post (note the sarcasm). Seeing that mess up there brought back long-repressed memories of being a fast food employee.

Just when you think “designer” fashion can’t get any more ridiculous, IT DOES! At least it is a relief to know the Fashion Police have a long and interesting time ahead of them. Wonder what the “food value” chart on the back says?

Katy Perry wore The McDonald’s long sleeves dress with the handbag at a Tokyo press conference. Katy, the Japanese artists have ditched obscure outfits long long time ago. They’re more on the ‘kawaii’ style now.
