More Union Jack fashion from Alexander McQueen: what do you think of these boots?

Alexander_mcqueen_booys  Now, it’s no secret that Alexander McQueen loves his Union Jacks. And sometimes The Fashion Police do too. The Union Jack has that certain punky vibe to it that can look great when it’s done right.

Is it done right on these ankle boots, though? Well, they’re certainly bold, bright and statement making, and as Net-a-Porter point out, "Very rock and roll".

Is this the kind of statement you actually want to make, though? If it is, you can buy them at Net-a-Porter, where they’re $1260.

It could actually look great with the right outfit, but I would never buy it for myself.

They’re nothing special. Maybe a reinterpretation of Union Jack might have worked but these are as basic as it gets.

I hate them. They’re over-the-top and boring at the same time.

they’re not terrible, but it would take someone like daisy lowe in a white tee shirt and jean jacket to make them work. patterned have so much potential to go wrong.
