Fashion Police at the 2012 Oscars: Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton

Michelle Williams in an orange dress at the 2012 oscars

Michelle Williams may not have won the Best Actress Award for her performance in My Week With Marilyn, but she DID wear one of the most eye-catching dresses of the evening.

Which is really all that matters, isn’t it?

(We’re joking.)

(We’re not.)

Michelle’s dress is by Louis Vuitton, and the fact that it’s orange makes it, like, SO bang on trend, dahlinks. Do you like it, though? Or is it one ruffle short of a 70s bedspread?

Love. Almost as much as I’m (still) loving her hair.

Sorry, in some lights, the fabric looked really cheap and shiny, like 70s nightie cheap (or bedspread if you prefer). Which made the asymmetry look like an accident, rather than a design.

She’s so cute and petite, that she is actually able to work that dress. On anyone else, it might look like the suggested 70s bedspread.

Huh…….I really disliked this watching live, but in this photo I ADORE it……..especially the color, I think–that coral-y orange against her milky skin is fabulous. But again with the straight-across strapless gowns! I wish someone would go for a true sweetheart neckline sometime, maybe with cap sleeves.

Don’t like the dress and I’m not a fan of miss Williams either. Mainly because of her horrible haircut combined with her pale skin. Who wants her hair to look like a schoolboy?
