Marks & Spencer Spring 2014 Lookbook

M&S Spring 2014 preview

All items: M&S

After the success of their Winter 2013 collection – including THAT pink coat – we thought we’d take a quick look at the Marks & Spencer Spring 2014 Lookbook, to see if they’ll be able to live up to last season’s promise.

And do they?

Well, we don’t see any stand out, OMGMUSTHAVE items in this selection, although, once again, the styling is certainly more fashion-forward than we’d come to expect from M&S: there are even a few sheer stripe skirts and leather t-shirts in there, as the brand continues to attempt to shrug off the frumpy image it once had, and convince us all that it truly is a force to be reckoned with.

Have they managed it with this collection? That’s up to you to decide, so take a look at the gallery, and tell us what you think!

Well, they certainly did kick the frumpy image! Glad to see the sheer striped skirt was not at crotch level. Love the sparkly black outfit. Maybe a fashion police uniform for Red Carpet duty?

I like some of the fabrics, especially that black and white, graphic jacket, but I wonder why they cut everything straight up and down like designer flourbags. Has waist gone out of fashion?
