Louboutin’s Toundra 140 booty – fur too far?

Our general rule of thumb, when buying clothing, is that if there’s even a slim chance it might need to be strapped down to stop it running away, it’s probably not a great idea.

Equally, the shire horse look? Not high up the list.

Now, we’d generally forgive Louboutin just about every fashion crime – as a rule, there’s a general consensus amongst our officers that he can do no wrong. But coyote fur strapped to the front of our feet? Might be a step too far even for our eclectic tastes!

What do you think? Fun fur or a real-fur faux pas?

I don’t really care how unpractical they would be in actual freezing temperatures (snow and ice + stiletto heels = probably not a good idea), but I love them. I really do.

If these were fake fur (and I could afford Louboutin’s in general) I’d get them.

I really can’t understand people who wouldn’t wear fur but would wear leather.

Seriously, where do you imagine leather comes from?

I think the justification is usually that the cow is killed anyway (for meat), so using its skin is just making use of the whole cow, and it’s not a “waste” like killing a whole animal just for its fur.

Of course, whether you see any merit in that reasoning is up to you. I don’t wear leather or eat meat, but I have mixed feelings on that sort of reasoning.

I think it’s also hard to avoid leather as a whole. I try not to wear fur or leather, but when it comes to buying a pair of shoes to keep my feet dry in a few feet of snow cloth doesn’t really cut it.

I also had the lovely experience of dissecting a mink that had been raised for fur in my biology class and it bothers me a lot that the animals are raised for nothing but the fur when it’s so unnecessary.

I think I have to agree with Aleutie and Natasha, kinda heart these although I know I would look like a small Yettie in them 🙂

Love furry boots but the fact that it comes down over the foot and bits of fur are poking over the toes make them a bit odd, bit like something from Narnia!
