Wear or Die: London Fashion Week edition

Christopher_kane

Of all the fashion weeks around the world, London is The Fashion Police’s favourite, because it’s at London Fashion Week that all of the youngest, freshest and, dare we say it, craziest designers tend to to come out to play.

Both of the outfits above come from Christopher Kane’s S/S 09 show, which was pretty darn cool to look at, it has to be said. Would you actually wear it, though? And if so, which outfit would you wear? Sadly for you (or perhaps not, if you like these), you don’t actually have the option to say “no” to that first question, because this is Wear or Die, and that means you have to chose one of these outfits to wear, or… die. Simple, no?

So, which one’s it gonna be?

Outfit A. It is actually quite cool to look at! And the other one is a shress. With fur on it.

    A. The second one looks too tacky, but the first one has a little class to it.

I can’t stand outfit A, it’s hideously unflattering and awkward – so outfit B, with the addition of a white slip.

I guess outfit A. Outfit B would make you look a little too much like you’d belong on top of a christmas tree.

“A” is quite catchy. “B” is, prorably, itchy.

B reminds me of a sperm, so I guess I’d go with A, by default. But I’m not happy about it! The piece is the epitome of fashion as art, not fashion as clothing.

    A. The fur on B (even if fake) makes it look more like a nightie than the average shress.

Meh, I can’t wear something so short, so by default I’m having to go for the creepy fur nightie

Oh god no! I’d have to say A, although I suspect anyone wearing it would look like a barrel on legs.

Outfit B – with a brightly colored slip (think plum-hued) and a brown leather belt – oh, and different shoes! – it’s got a shot at looking at least sort of normal.

I’d wear outfit A to a cafe or something and stand in the corner pretending to be a lamp… just to see how many people noticed. it looks like a cool lampshade, no?
