Light acid wash boobtube. Words to strike fear into Fashion Police hearts.

Denim_dress

Denim. Acid wash. Ra-ra skirt. Boob tube. Mini dress. It’s always been our belief that these words should never appear together in the same sentence, and certainly never in a product description -it’s all just a wee bit more ‘Back to the 80s’ than we can deal with when sober. Miss Selfridge clearly beg to differ, though: they’ve just broken a run of fabulous dresses with their light acid wash boobtube which they’ll sell you for £40. Will you want to buy it, though, that’s what The Fashion Police want to know?

    I would, if…
    I was 25 or younger
    I was a size 10
I wanted to go on a picnic on a warm spring day
    Otherwise never.

I’d wear the cut, in maybe a nice polka dotted cotton fabric? Acid wash denim is just too gross.

It looks like the sort of dress I’d have loved when I was about 10 years old… Not feeling the love anymore 🙁

I am looking for a dress like this to purchase for my daughter for homecoming this year. The girl who won last year didn’t even have to show up. She wanted to go to a soccer game instead…by her choice. I want her to make a mockery of it this year. We spent a lot of $ on makeup, shoes, hair, and our nerves were shot. For no reason.

Omg, I actually love that dress! If there was an 80s night party you can bet I’d show up in it and rock it hard.
Sophie– good for you and your daughter for having a sense of humor about it! When is the dance? If you’re still looking for a dress like that, maybe you could try the dress shops near you (look on http://www.gatheringguide.com/ec/bridal_shops_dresses.html to find them) and see if they have any suggestions.
