If you’re looking for a celebrity-based Halloween costume that’ll be instantly recognisable – not to mention fun to wear – look no further than Lady Gaga! This is actually a really simple costume to do: here’s what you’ll need.
1. A blonde wig
Easily found on eBay, it’s up to you to decide whether you prefer Lady Gaga’s short bob or long locks. If you’re already blonde, you can skip the wig entirely, and move onto.
2. A hair bow
Not a bow that goes in your hair, but a bow that looks like it’s made out of hair. You can buy these on eBay too, or we found some for sale here.
3. A body-suit
In terms of the clothes you’ll need for your Lady Gaga Halloween costume, it’s really just a case of “the more outrageous, the better”. Anything PVC or highly revealing will work, but if you’re looking for something simple, a classic Lady Gaga look is a body suit with nothing on the bottom half. (And yes, you may need a bit of Dutch courage for this one.)
4. PVC or laddered leggings
Don’t want to go down the body-suit route? These laddered leggings aren’t nearly as extreme as the kind Lady Gaga herself wears, but they will at least keep you covered. If you’re looking to create a costume on a budget, buy a pair of footless tights and ladder them yourself – alternatively, a lot of stores are currently stocking wet look styles, which will also work for a Lady Gaga Halloween costume. For the top half, a longline bra or crop top will work fine.
5. Sunglasses
She doesn’t wear her sunnies ALL the time, just most of the time. Gaga tends to favour Ray Bans, but any dark glasses will do – just make sure you don’t remove them, no matter how dark it gets.
7. Pale lipstick
Pale pink, verging on white will give you the authentic Lady Gaga look.
8. A teacup and saucer
The ultimate Lady Gaga Halloween costume accessory. Pour whatever you’re drinking into the cup so you don’t have to put it down – Lady Gaga wouldn’t!
