Holy Crap! Ashish, Fall 2011 Runway

We couldn’t have said it better than this sweater does. Thank you, Ashish, for basically writing this post for us!

As far as the rest of the collection goes, our main observation is this: haven’t Hot Topic being doing this kind of thing for years, minus the sequins? Does this mean Avril Lavigne’s going to suddenly be fashionable? Can someone please hold us?

I agree with the last sweater… fashion certainly is falling on hard times.

Yay, all the “fashionable” and rich teenagers can pay as much as adults for their “fashion” now! I hope this is not supposed to be worn by adult women.

Pure garbage. A wiped-out designer grasping at straws trying to be ‘holey original’, and if the holes don’t work we’ll decorate the knees with spider webs, just in case. CRAP, indeed.

Oh look! I can make sweaters with holes in them too! And I can do it for FREE!

For that “this sweater has been in my closet too long and a moth has eaten part of it” look. One time I saw a hat I liked, the last in stock, and asked if they had one that hadn’t been damaged because this one had a series of holes in it. They told me it was supposed to be like that. I left.

This was an extremely popular collection and I think it captures grunge and other pop culture better than hot topic will ever do… I thought that this was one of the best collections of 2011.
