Going Green: the Fashion Police’s favourite colour for Spring

Green_fashion

Of course, we might’ve known this would happen. No sooner do The Fashion Police resolve to spend a little bit less on clothes than the stores suddenly start filling up with our very favourite colour: green. We’re powerless to resist.

These are just a few examples of the green coloured items we’ve spotted in the course of our police duties. If green’s definitely not your colour, however, don’t worry – there are still plenty of other options around too!

Paul Smith green cap sleeve blouse; Vivienne Westwood Anglomania square cotton dress,  NET-A-PORTER ; Green t-bar shoes, Next; LUX By Sara & Aimee Berman High Collar Trench; Green tab ponti dress and green tulip skirt, both Dorothy Perkins

Ah yes, I thought green was becoming the next big thing. I don’t have much green in my wardrobe; perhaps I should remedy this. I have this dreadful feeling that wearing a lot of green is going to make me look like a little pixie or a flower fairy or something, but I guess that’s not a bad look. It might be kinda cute!

I should probably have added a disclaimer here saying, “Don’t try and wear it all at the same time!” A little green goes a long way – a lot definitely takes you into pixie territory!

I’m usually a cotton, A-line skirt wearer, but I want that tulip skirt. Adorable.

    Ah green.
This reminds me, I need to touch up that green in my hair.

Have to admit…I fell for green myself. Even used it on my website!

I’ve adored green for years. Have to be careful how much of it I buy before I turn into Peter Pan…

I must say I’m loving those shoes. If only they were practical for walking about on campus…

Ooh, must try and buy some green this year. It’s one of my favourite colours but my wardrobe seems unusually bereft of green!

Yeah, the Peter Pan comments took me right back to high school – there as a rather unfortunate German teacher (she taught German, wasn’t actually German) and she used to wear this rather disturbing green romper suit and all us kids used to call her Peter Pan. I feel a bit mean about that now.
But green in small doses is great. I love that DP dress – gorgeous.
