From the Peep Toe Boot Files: Maison Martin Margiela’s ruched leather ankle boots

Help! Help! These boots are melting! Someone call the fire brigade!

We usually have a lot of time for Martin Margiela’s footwear (no, really…), which is frequently quite stunning, but we must admit that the item above looks very much like a knee-length boot that spent too long in front of the fire and started to melt into a heap.

That’s without even mentioning the words “peep toe boots”. Or “cankles”.

We know someone out there is going to absolutely love these, though, so if that person is you, head over to Net-a-Porter, where they can be yours for the sum of £625 British pounds.

It’s nearly as though a pink shopping bag was blowing in the wind and got caught up around her ankle…

Actually, the boots are quite nice, they are not so bad that they would be worth of a name like ‘fashion crime’. I love maison martin margiela, i love his shoes and i do not think they are soooooo bad. But the colour is hideous…
