Frankenshoes: Open-toes wedge sneakers with cut-outs by DSquared2

Frankenshoes

Well, it looks like DSquared2 didn’t get the memo about how open-toed, high heeled sneakers are NOT OK.

And, in fact, they sought to make their brand of open-toed-high-heeled-wedge-sneakers EVEN UGLIER than the last ones we were forced to take into custody, by adding that strange, cut-out ribbed detail on the side.

Just in case there was any doubt that these shoes were indefensible, they slapped an $839 price tag on them.

It’s almost like they WANTED to be arrested, isn’t it?

(For some prettier shoes than this, don’t forget to visit our sister site, Shoeperwoman!)

If it were blown up to the appropriate size, it would make a neat, whimsical piece of playground equipment!

There is something I like about them, probably the colors. They had potential, but chose to use it all in the worst way possible.

Only snag with Arielle’s suggestion is the equipment would fail to get planning permission, on grounds of ugliness.
