Fashion Trends for Winter 2010: Aviator Jackets

Well, folks, there’s no denying it any longer: winter is almost upon us, and its one saving grace as far as we’re concerned is that at least it gives us an excuse to buy some new outerwear. (And boots: let’s not forget the boots…)

This winter the aviator jacket is set to be dominate the outerwear section of our favourite stores, and we’re already seeing these start to appear on the high street. With their leather finish and snuggly sheepskin/fake fur lining, these jackets are super-warm, and have always been considered something of a fashion classic. What do you think of them, though? Will you be buying an aviator jacket this winter, or wearing an old one (they’re one of those items that seem to last forever, and never go out of style)?

I was bored with aviator jackets the first time I saw them appear, so not a fan in general. Though the ones cut more like a biker jacket aren’t bad.

I really like the top right one. If it was cheaper, I’d consider getting it.

I wore my winter coat today. Summer forgot to visit the prairies this year. I like aviators, but they’re a fall thing in these parts, and hoodies are just as warm..and cheaper.
