Fashion Police at the Golden Globes: Kate Hudson in Marchesa

Kate Hudson at the 2010 Golden Globes

Here comes the bride! Oops, no, our mistake, it’s just Kate Hudson: false alarm!

Actually, this dress makes us want to get married, just so we’d have a plausible excuse to wear it. (And something to catch the crumbs from the wedding cake in, too!)  It’s by Marchesa, and is really a work of art, although whether it’s a good one or a bad one is, of course, up to you to decide. Kate wore it with a pair of chunky white platform shoes by Casadei. We wouldn’t imagine this would’ve been one of the most comfortable outfits of the evening, but was it worth it, do you think?

Definitely better as a wedding dress. I quite like it for that but an awards show? Nah.

I absolutely LOVE this dress. Even though it does look like a wedding dress. I wish I could afford a dress like this for my wedding (whenever that takes place)

I actually like it! It’s bold, but it looks great on her and her hair and makeup compliment it well.

I actually thought she was gorgeous in this! The dress is beautiful and truly is a work of art, and is actually kind of refreshing considering it’s different than the usual awards show attire. I also thought her makeup and hair were stunning.

Meh. I don’t like dresses with big folds. I did like her shoes, but not the dress.

I loved Kate she looked great! On a different note. Did anyone else see fashion police tonight? What was Giuliana Rancic thinking when she wore that dress? The shoulder bow was huge & ugly! I’d think you’d looked in your own mirror before you comment on other peoples clothes! She wins my vote for worst dressed!!

I hate wedding dresses that look like this! People, every white dress is not a wedding dress, even though, these days, so many ignorant people seem to think so. A wedding dress should look like a wedding dress! Lace, a bustle, a train, a veil, etc. Check out St. Pucchi; they do wedding dresses the best!!! NOT VERA WANG! (Her best wedding dress was the one she created for Barbie!)

That said, KATE’S DRESS DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A WEDDING DRESS! IT LOOKS LIKE A RED CARPET DRESS OR BALL GOWN! AND IT IS GORGEOUS! Kate looks great. The dress is a work of art! Wasn’t crazy about the shoes; but, I didn’t hate them.

It is actually Marchesa Bridal. This, I think, says a lot about . . . oh forget it, I like how structural it looks in the picture and the shoes, based on the description, are the right choice. I might like to see some color in her makeup or earrings though.

hudson is so obsessed with the wedding thing, she would have looked like the blushing bride had her future groom alex rodreguez not walked off on her in London last month, otherwise they would have been the talk of the town after these awards had he escorted her down the red carpet, the only thing she was missing was a veil. ..yeah the fabric looks like a whole lotta white royal icing.

She looks divine in that dress. But it seems too white for the awards. It would look better on a sunny wedding day.

Love the dress, hate the shoes. I’m sorry but the combination was awful. In the pic above you can’t see those monstrous shoes, thank goodness, so I think she looks rather lovely here.

apparently she bought this dress for arod, then he dumped her!…lol I guess he got the hint loud and clear. she thought arod would be escorting her down the red carpet looking like the hottest celeb couple, how pathetic….shes just a disaster when it comes to dressing for the red carpet, always trying hard to outdo the next celeb only to make a fool of herself. The dress is fantastic but not on her! sorry but it is a wedding dress!
