Wear or Die: Irregular Choice shoes

Irregularchoiceshoes

Time for another game of Wear or Die, and this week we’re playing with two pairs of Irregular Choice shoes. IC, of course, are well known for their unconventional, shall we say, approach to footwear, and while I’d argue that there are one or two absolute gems in the collection, well, these two aren’t among them. Now, I dare say some of you are shuddering in horror at the very thought of wearing either of these shoes, but what if you HAD to wear a pair… or die? Which shoes would you pick: the scary skeleton shoes on the left of the picture or the "grandma’s gone mad in the sewing box again" ones on the right?

Remember, the rules state that you MUST pick one pair – and don’t forget to tell us the reason for your choice!

My eyes are bleeding right now….
If I have to choose, I will have to go with the grandma (right) ones pair with super long jeans to cover them until just the toes are showing:) I might be crazy, but does the skeleton ones look like a big pink furry worm with thousands of legs?

eeek! tough one, but I think I’d probably have to go for the patchwork ones. I looked at the zoom view of the pink ones, and from above it looks like there are lots of little pink worms coming out of them. Nice!

Yea I am all about the Grandma shoe. The neon pink bow on the other ones are going to give me nightmares for days. The other ones are easier to hide.

I’d go with the pink ones. I am sure that I can get trid of the neon bow… zombie chic. (And according to the website $160. People bought them. Willingly. And considering getting another pair in a different color.) The pink ones are almost well-designed compared to the brown ones, which may have been assembled from dead shoes and revived by lightning…

I would go with the grandma patchwork shoes. The darker colors are less noticeable and with a nice top, you might be able to distract people from them. But those pink ones are just horrid and call too much attention to themselves. In a bad way.

I’d definately go with the ones on the right.
The pink ones look like those old jelly shoes-meets-ugly-moccasins, only with heels.
    Gross.

I’d wear either of them, but then I am known to be touched in the head.
The skeleton ones probably with dark jeans or my navy pinstriped trousers; the patchwork ones with the snazzy BCBG dress I bought to wear on Christmas — the colors would go perfectly!

grandma shoes, for sure. Who knows? Maybe they could be paired with the right stuff and not look as awful as they do alone….or you could just hope nobody looked down.

I think the pick ones are frightening, but I like the “Grandma” ones…I would wear them, maybe even buy them if the price was right.

I’d have to go with the scary skeleton shoes. At least they are one color, so they’d be less noticeable, especially if worn with nice slacks. The crumpled-looking pink bows might be easy to remove, further making the shoes less noticeable.

In the situation of no-choice I would go with “Insane grandma” shoes. Although, I admit that probably and most possibly I would never leave the house in them, so die cos of starvation and be discovered three weeks later half-eaten by my cat.
    Better not!

I’d go for the Grandma shoes – with all those colours I’m bound to be able to find something that’ll match!
That said, the pinks would have to be paired with a big fluffy cinderella gown, and that might just about succeed in drawing attention from the shoes!

grandma. the lines are better and the colors less hideous. I think if you kept the rest of your outfit simple and understated enough, you might even get away with being charmingly quirky.

I’d wear the Grandma Shoes with wide leg jeans (to cover them up) and some kind of cream cardigan.

I’d kill myself painfully before I’d touch it even with a whole box of medical gloves and disinfect around my hand , thank you
