Dress Like a Toddler: Alexander Wang ribbed hooded onesie

Alexander Wang ribbed hooded onesieAs you can probably tell from the title of this post, this is a ribbed hooded onesie from Alexander Wang.  And we’re going to stop Mr Wang right there because anything called a onesie?  Has no place on a fashion retail site for adults.  Yes it looks like it could be nightwear, but why then has it been styled with high heels?  Put the hood up and it looks even worse:

Alexander Wang ribbed hooded onesie backIt’s the Milk Tray man woman!

What we really can’t comprehend though, is not the fact that our friend Mr Wang thinks he can charge $450 for this, it’s that people are actually buying it at that price!  They must be: there is only one size left!

What do you think though?  Do you want to dress like a toddler and would you pay the $450 required to do so?  If you would, you can buy the onesie here.

Not just any toddler. A gangster toddler.

Throw on a dark denim, destroyed skirt or pleather mini & it works, maybe

All that’s missing is a thumb in the mouth.

I really hope no-one actually walks down the street like that. You can see *everything*. The dark denim mini is a pretty good idea, but what’s wrong with a hooded top and leggings? It’d look the same and you wouldn’t have to get naked every time you needed the toilet – or spend $450.

I agree with Janers, with bodysuits and leotards it all about layers. When it’s cold out the thermal onesie might actually help a little–but going to the bathroom might be rough :/

I’d wear it to bed, but never at that price and certainly not in public.

I wouldn’t leave the house like that. I like the shoes.

On a practical note- this looks fantastic to use under ski/snowboard clothes. But I can pick some up for about $10. No thanks, Mr. Wang.
