Dolce & Gabbana poplin mini skirt dress: expensive stuck together clothes

This is not fancy dress: we repeat, NOT fancy dress.

In fact, it’s a £355/ $575 example of clothes-that-are-stuck-together: in this case, an old-fashioned bed shirt attached to a fringed suede mini skirt – although we use the word “skirt” in its loosest possible sense here. It actually looks more like a belt when viewed from the side, although we’re not sure that makes the situation any better, really.

WE KNOW.

Looks like more of that “long shirt worn as a dress” trend. Ugh.

Oh, dear. This reminds me of the outfit that a character in a book I read wore. She would wear and Indian buckskin skirt with a white shirt. But I’m sure she at least had the decency to wear a longer skirt.

Since when do designers go to science fiction/fantasy/comic conventions for inspiration? I could wear this to any con and be right in style.

It is simply funny! 🙂 Not that you expect £355/ $575 piece of clothing be funny, though…

Way too short. Even if it WAS a skirt, it is WAY too short.

This HAS to be a long shirt.

It looks like the heroine from a romance novel after she has spent the night being ravished by a hunky highwayman so has to use his shirt to cover up since her bodice and skirt were ripped in the love-making frenzy.

    This? A dress? My ASS.

…which, coincidentally, would be hanging out if I tried to wear this as a dress.
