Designer Vs High Street: White tuxedo blazers

white tuxedo blazer

So, Tibi’s leather-trimmed satin-twill tuxedo jacket is kinda nice, no? Great with black skinnies, pencil dresses, jeans… an easy way to dress-up an outfit, just by throwing on a jacket. Awesome!

“But Fashion Police,” we hear you cry, “It’s $495! How can we be expected to pay $495 for a jacket? We will have to starve, or make ourselves homeless because we spent our rent money on a designer blazer, woe is us!”

Don’t worry, though, help is at hand! You SHALL have a white tuxedo blazer, Cinders! You shall have one from…

White tuxedo blazerPenneys,  €25

tuxedo blazerM&Co, £49

You could buy ALL THREE of these, in fact, and still have change from your $495: all is right with the world once more.

Which one would you pick?

I’d pick the one from Penneys. Well, I would if I knew what Penneys was, or where it is.
So it looks like I’ll have to settle for the one from Next.. 🙁

Dunno if Penney’s means JCPenney’s or a store I can only dream of being able to order from, but that’s the one I’d pick. Cleaner lines, less fluff, and seems to have a better fit.

I really do not like these- they remind me of some Nineties nightmares, e.g. VB before she had style.

I’d love the Penney’s one in black. In white, they look way too waitery.

Penneys, or M&Co. Either/or, or just both! 🙂

Not a fan of this look at all. Reminds me of that back-to-front tux Celine Dion wore to the Oscars a few years back. Remember, when her head sort of swivelled round as in Death Becomes Her? Not a good look . . .

Love these blazers though white blazer with black lapels is getting kinda boring these days.
